Gamma Irradiation Facility TWIKI - Construction Phase

TWIKI for the construction and the planned operation of the new Gamma Irradiation Facility (GIF++) in the north area (EHN1).

E-Logbook

Will be setup after christmas. We need to define the menus and the overall structure. Currently proposed to use one logbook per irradiation facility, not a combined one. (Gif and Gif++ will share one logbook). Elogbook should be used for GIF as soon as possible (testing, experiance) and used for GIF++ construction.

Logbook will be web-editable. Automatic messages from GCS (GIF Control System). E-mail notifications could be set up with new version of logbook (end of year) if needed. Link from IMPACT possible via existing API (as used in LLHC operation).

Rack layout and usage

To be optimised. 11 racks (current proposal from Adrian) seems not enough for gas system. 11 additional racks are available in lower floor. Table to be filled. Racks names entered when known.

Fixed installation. Will be organized by En (Adrina). Readout via Ramses Terminal Server ? Link to GCS ?

RADMON installation

Plan to install 8 moveable RADMON sensor inside the radiation area. 2 splitter boxes with each 4 sensors will be distributed. Sensors are moveanle and can be mounted directly on the irradiation sample.
