According to Alexandru it should work like that for a SLC4 system: Costin has confirmed that for SLC5 steps 1 to 4 are obsolete. 1. ssh to lnxatdsrv02 1. cd to /usr/src/ 1. execute "sudo /client_installation_slc4/usr/src/switch_2_SMP" to switch to SMP mode 1. execute "sudo /client_installation_slc4/usr/src/switch_2_UP" to switch to UP mode 1. ssh to pcatd103 (or any other hosts that boots from a sysadmin server) 1. run "rebootwith" to choose between a SMP or UP kernel 1. reboot the host if necessary 1. compile the drivers -- Main.MarkusJoos - 05 Sep 2007
