This page describes how to use the dynamic debugging feature

Example 1: Enable dynamic debugging

  1. Open oks_dat_editor
  2. Open "Partition"
  3. Select the proper partition and open it
  4. Scroll down to "DefaultTags"
  5. Put the "dbg" tag into first position
  6. Exit from the oks_data_editor (but save the changes)
  7. Start the TDAQ-IGUI
  8. Open a console on a TDAQ computer
  9. Type: rc_sendcommand -p <Partition name> -n <ROS name> USER lldebug <package> <level>
    1. Values for <package> and <level> can be found by running the application DFDebug_menu
  10. Look for the debug information in the log file at $TDAQ_LOGS_PATH (e.g. /tmp/part-TDQ-reb)

Example 2: Disable a ROL on the fly

  1. Open a console on a TDAQ computer
  2. Type: rc_sendcommand -p <Partition name> -n <ROS name> disable <ROL UID>
ROL UIDs look like "ROS58_RobinDataChannel_0" and can be found in the OKS database
