LQLQOffDiagonalValidation2ndGen

LQuLQu/LQdLQd->2nd gen quarks + 1st/2nd gen leptons

Extension of the LQLQOffDiagonalValidation twiki, to include 2nd generation quarks.

Pair production of scalar up and down-type leptoquarks decaying into quarks of the third generation and leptons of either the first or the second generation.

Possible decay channels are;


Up type

LQuLQu -> cνμμ

LQuLQu -> sμleftleft

LQuLQu -> sμrightright

LQuLQu -> cνee

LQuLQu -> seleftseleft

LQuLQu -> serightseright


Down type

LQdLQd -> sνμμ

LQdLQd -> cμleftleft

LQdLQd -> cμrightright

LQdLQd -> sνee

LQdLQd -> celeftceleft

LQdLQd -> cerightceright

The branching ratio of the LQs into charged leptons depends on the model parameter β and is chosen here as β=0.5. The coupling λ is set to λ=0.3.

Event Generation

The samples are generated with MG5_aMC@NLO and Pythia8 with the NNPDF23LO PDF set. The LQs and top quarks are decayed using MadSpin. The command used to produce the test samples is as follows:

Generate_tf.py --ecmEnergy=13000. --firstEvent=1 --runNumber=999999 --maxEvents=5000 --randomSeed=1234 --jobConfig=MC15.999999.aMcAtNloPy8EG_A14N30NLO_LQu_mu_ld_0p3_beta_0p5_hnd_1p0_M300.py --outputTXTFile=MC15.999999.aMcAtNloPy8EG_A14N30NLO_LQu_mu_ld_0p3_beta_0p5_hnd_1p0_M300.LHE.txt --outputEVNTFile=MC15.999999.aMcAtNloPy8EG_A14N30NLO_LQu_mu_ld_0p3_beta_0p5_hnd_1p0_M300.EVNT.root

DAODs on TRUTH-0 level were produced using

Reco_tf.py --inputEVNTFile=MC15.999999.aMcAtNloPy8EG_A14N30NLO_LQu_mu_ld_0p3_beta_0p5_hnd_1p0_M300.EVNT.root --outputDAODFile=MC15.999999.aMcAtNloPy8EG_A14N30NLO_LQu_mu_ld_0p3_beta_0p5_hnd_1p0_M300.pool.root --reductionConf TRUTH1
