Egamma Trigger Signature Group

The EGamma Trigger Signature Group is a subgroup of the ATLAS Trigger group. We are responsible for the performance of the electron and photon triggers at Level-1 and the High-level Trigger (HLT). We study rates and efficiencies for triggers containing electrons and photons, for various luminosity and detector condition scenarios. This work is done in close collaboration with the offline reconstruction to ensure the triggers reject as little as possible events selected for the offline analysis. In addition, we develop the tools to extract base-line efficiencies and turn-on curves from data, and take care of monitoring and validation of the electron and photon triggers.
