Low level thing might have higher level effect. Like you calibrate electron by using Z tag&probe, where energy is ~45 GeV, considering Z is at rest. While you might use calibration result on Z' search where Z' is ~ TeV level. You need to understand EGamma performance to make sure it's valid.
