1. if you make any change in common board, you need to either click "Update" or switch a board, to make it take into effect for all other boards. It's because not all the GUI elements are connected with a function to compare the difference. The signal to update is sent when you switch the pad. So you need to click "Update" to force

An increasing #hits vs channel

Very often, the distributions below means the hit rate is too high for roc to send out. Try reduce the number of channel opend for each ROC or reduce the trigger rate if you can.
