Instruction for content providers

Information is not instruction! (M. David Merrill)

The goal of this course is to help the participants to apply what their learn in their own analysis. Remember that everything you present should be connected to the participant's own project - in means of exercises, reflections, etc...

When planning the material keep in mind the first principles of instructions:

  • demonstrate
    • show examples which directly relate to the contents
  • make them apply the new knowledge
    • provide simple, easy exercises
    • think if the exercise promotes skills which can be extended to the own project
  • make them activate prior knowledge
    • know what others have shown
  • make them integrate the new knowledge to the own project.
