Welcome to the E/g HLT 2E32 working page

Currently we have basic rough rates for 2E32 for Electron and Photon datasets. Nothing has been decided right now, these rates are just to aid discussion.

Outstanding issues

  • Photon/Electron overlap is ever increasing with energy.
    • Some re-optimisation on the PM windows may allow us to reduce the overlap and also reduce the electron dataset size.
    • Sadly we dont have the manpower to do this.
  • the Isolation variable itself is currently intentionally loose, this could be tuned tigher for extra rejection

Variable Definitions:

Note for tracker isolation, electron and photon tracker isolation differs. Electron tracker isolation cone is based of electron's track and has a dZ cut. Photon tracker isolation uses the photon position using the current track's vertex for the photon eta and there is no dZ cut.
