2009 Circulating Beam Menu

  • CMSSW_3_3_3
  • Global tag GR09_E_V4::All
  • Config file for rerunning L1emulator+HLT /afs/cern.ch/user/j/jjhollar/public/ForTriggerFolk/HLT_SINGLEBEAM_RERUNL1.py
  • This includes the following modifications of /online/beamhalo/week47/HLT/V2 needed to rerun on the old 2008 data
    • Rerun L1 emulator
    • Remove filtering on the triggertype (not necessary for rerunning 2009 beam splash/cosmics data)
    • Disable reading the CSC bad chambers record from the DB (not necessary for rerunning 2009 beam splash/cosmics data)
  • Config file for running the HLTAnalyzer (HLT bits only, using the HEAD in 3_3_3): /afs/cern.ch/user/j/jjhollar/public/ForTriggerFolk/HLTBitAnalysis_cfg.py

Samples

  • Run 62384 (Trigger ELOG), (Shift ELOG)
    • Reprocessed RAW file (process name ::HLTonline): /castor/cern.ch/user/j/jjhollar/outputA.run62384.singlebeammenu.root

Issues

  • Pixels weren't in last year => no MinBiasPixel triggers
  • Some L1 bits were added/modified since last year (technical triggers, energy sums) and can't be recreated from the emulator
  • No events pass EGamma/Jet/MET HLT paths (all seem to be rejected already at the L1-seeding step?)
  • Rates are averaged over the full run. There was a significant change in the L1Accept rate about 1/3 of the way into this run (see ELOG postings above).

  • Numerology: this assumes events in the 2008 samples were triggered on BPTX with prescale=100. The rates given here are: Rate=100*N(passing)/time
  • This does not include any rate allocated for prescaled single BPTX ("ZeroBias") accepts
