This is the web site for the CMS Upgrade FCAL irradiation activities. It has originated in order to have a clear and complete view of all the activities (past present and future ) concerning irradiation of THE FCAL (HCal and ECal, End Cap and Barrel ) Upgraded Detector, for Phase 1 as well as for Phase 2. Even though the most critical irrradiation tests have undoubtedly to address the EE and HE ( End Cap ECal and HF, HE and HB ) of Phase 2.

I have assembled a global set of coarse information, and left to the directly involved people the task of specifically fill up their own field of expertise/interest. Hope this location wil be fruitful of useful exchanges and interaction, and will drive to a clear coherent vision/organization of the full field.

In the SilviaTentindoFCALIrradiationsTable a genrerl list of the facilities available, in Europe and in USA, for making irradiation tests woth electrons, protons, photons and neutrons, be it generated from nuclear sources or from reactors.
