Introduction

A large proportion of the front-end electronics, on the Tile Calorimeter sub-detector, will be upgraded and relocated to the back-end system in the Phase-II upgrade in 2022. A Demonstrator program has been established as a proof of principle - see here. The Super Read Out Driver (sROD), a main component of the back-end electronic system, will be house and monitored in a new Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) Shelf. This ATCA system will be the successor to the VME crates, which are now outdated. Thus the system needs to be understood and integrated seamlessly into the ATLAS Detector Control Systems.
