Underlying Event analysis for run 2

The purpose of this page is to document and coordinate work related to the Underlying Event analysis (leading track and charged jet) at s = 13 TeV.



Looking only at events with a single primary vertex, we discard all particles with pT < 0.5 GeV /c and n < 2.0 (or 0.8). The highest pT charged particle is tagged pTmax. Phi space is divided into three equal regions: Toward, Away, and Transverse. The Transverse region is further separated into TransMAX and TransMIN according to which half has greatest charged particle/pTsum density.

Common FSQ Framework (CFF)

We use the FSQCommonFW to run our analysis. (Other aliases include CFW, Common Framework). The goal of the developers is to provide a base common framework that all members of the group can use for any of our analyses. The framework provides easy access to centrally produced skims of data and Monte Carlo. Click here for an introduction and tutorial for CFF.
