(1) Install and local test

git clone https://gitlab.cern.ch/LHCb-QEE/ew-generators.git

./run --env powheg --build --

./run --env powheg --cmake

./run --env powheg --install -- make

#You should first edit powheg/scripts/run-powheg-pythia.py, delete the line 378-380: #If not args.fixhardalphas:

# alphas_lhapdf(alphasvalue, pdfinfofilename,

# interpolationpdfsetinfofilename)

#Then you can run CT18NNLO with this command:

./run --env powheg run-powheg-pythia.py -evts 10000 -seed 5 -p Wp -ikt 2.0 -as 118 -ewgendir $PWD -rundir ./POWHEGPythia -mZ 91.1535 -interpolationpdfcode 14000 -basepdfcode 14000 --lhcbacceptance

(2) paralell run by screen

//you should first open a screen on 04 server and log in lxplus server(it will keep log in 24h)

//then go to ew-generator package

mkdir powpyt_WpNNLO

sh paralellrun.sh (in the attachment)

ctrl A+D (leave the screen)

//it produce 20M events(with 10 paralell subjobs, it takes about 7 hours), you need to have 30G dist volume

//timeprint.py will output a sentence every 10min to avoid log out as no output for long time

(1)build the package

./run --env pythia-sim09 --cmake --

./run --env pythia-sim09 --install -- make

(2)local test
./run --env pythia-sim09 run-pythia.exe --eCM 13.0 --seed 1 --output-directory . --events 10 --process W --tune lhcbtune

(3) paralell run

//modify pythia-sim09/src/run-pythia.cpp line 129 as abosolute path

//pythia.readFile( "/afs/cern.ch/work/j/jideng/public/ew-generators/pythia-sim09/conf/" + tune + ".cmd");

//make it again, then you can build a paralellrun.sh as powpyt.
