ZZ->4l synchronization

This page is intended to help synchronization with the on the ZZ+jets and VBS analyses.

Recipes to sync on

MC

JEC Latest version is Summer16_23Sep2016V4_*, which should be equivalent to Summer16_23Sep2016V3_*. Details at in HN. CJLST currently has v3 for data and MC.

Electron RECO/GSF SF Use this file. The systematics are errors in the histogram, but an additional 1% systematic is to be used for electrons with pT < 20 GeV and pT > 80 GeV. Details at here.

Electron selection SF Preliminary numbers are out. Instructions in the HZZ4l TWiki.

Electron calibration Latest calibration is Winter_2016_reReco_v1_ele, implemented in CJLST.

Electron regression New regression is available, see TWiki. Instructions in the HZZ4l TWiki.

Electron smearer Now applied in same recipe as regression

Muon RECO/selection SF The HZZ uses some new preliminary figures, see HZZ4l TWiki.

Muon calibration Is there anything better than than what we have.

Pile up reweighing We use sigma_minBias = 69200 +- 4.6%. We are in sync on the file. For TO framework, look at recent commit to CJLST

Data

Triggers See list in Table 1 of AN-16-359, or lists here.

Lumi 35.86/fb +/- 0.93

JEC CJLST already uses the latest recommendation (need to check!)

Electron regression Same as above.

Muon calibration No change from ichep

Dump Files Format and Tool

Simple format for the signal region ZZ candidate sync:
{run}:{lumi}:{event}:{channel}:{m4l:.2f}:{mZ1:.2f}:{mZ2:.2f}:{nJets}:{jet1pt:.2f}:{jet2pt:.2f}:{mjj:.2f}{weight:.4f}
where the channel is denoted by "eeee", "eemm", or "mmmm" and weight is the product of the PU weight, the lepton RECO and selection scale factors.

Simple format for the signal region ZL candidate sync:

'{run}:{lumi}:{event}:{channel}:{m3l:.2f}:{mZ:.2f}:{l3Pt:.2f}:{isTight}
where the channel is denoted by "eee", "eem", "mme" or "mmm".
