Question

I am writing a manual consisting of multiple twiki pages (parent and a set of children). Is it possible to add a small search box to the parent page that will search through only the children of this page?

The only thing I have found and managed to include is the WebSearch but this also includes a lot of other stuff (List topics that start with the letter, Recently changed topics etc etc) that I do not want. Also, it is searching the whole main web, which I am not interested in. I only want it to search through the manual pages.

Thanks!

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

Copy and paste this into your parent page. Change MYWEB for the name of your web.

<form name="allSearchForm" action="%SCRIPTURL{view}%/%WEB%/WebSearch">
<input type="hidden" name="web" value="MYWEB">
<input type="text" class="twikiInputField" name="search" value="" size="30" />
&nbsp;<input type="submit" class="twikiSubmit" value="%MAKETEXT{"Search"}%" />
</form>
