How can I limit the read access rights to persons from within CERN?

There are 2 methods. You can set an ACL to deny TWikiGuest view access or you can just allow view access to the egroups that contain just CERN users.

The simplest way to do this is to deny access to guest users like this:

* Set DENYWEBVIEW = TWikiGuest

For now try setting the ACL for ALLOWTOPICVIEW = cern-users . There maybe be a more somplete set of egroups for people in CERN that are not CERN staff and I will post these when found.

Dear Peter!

Thanks a lot for your hints.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite following. What is "ACL" (I'm a real novice to wikis)?

I've tried to go to "more topics actions " - "Edit settings for this topic " and then add the "ALLOWTOPICVIEW = cern-users" in the text field. While this field had allowed me to block other users from editing, it seems not to be the place to set the acess-option.

Thanks again,

ACLs are exaplined here TWikiAccessControl Basically you can add in the body of the TWiki topic a line in the form

space space space * Set ALLOWTOPICVIEW = cern-users

You can use egroups or TWiki groups The settings are then seen in bullet list. One can hide these settings too using the html comments tag and these is an exxample of this in the doc. If you want to keep a document just visible by you then you would use the command

   * Set ALLOWTOPICVIEW = Main.UlrichDorda
