Question

Hello,

I would like to extensively use tikz for flow charts in twiki pages.

I tried the example reported in the following doc page (Sec. "Switching the rendering on the fly"): https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/LatexModePlugin

But I get an error:

Latex rendering error!! dvi file was not created.

I tried adding the preamble (Sec. "Defining the LaTeX preamble", in the same page):

%BEGINLATEXPREAMBLE%
\usepackage{tikz}
%ENDLATEXPREAMBLE%

But the error stays the same.

I'm quite sure it's something wrong on my side, and I'm sorry for the very basic question, but I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance

Please chack on the support question LatexErrorNoFile . Also send the name of the TWiki topic where you made the test

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the subject: TestTikz

I had a look at the question LatexErrorNoFile, but that basically deals with one-line, math latex commands, whereas I need a multi-line environment (not necessarily dealing with math symbols), with the dynamic change of rendering engine (the default one doesn't support tikz).

Cheers, Alessio

I'll have a look and try to find a solution to the problem.

Stay tuned.

I have installed LatexModePlugin on my own TWiki instance at my VM, and there it works..

Its probably a issue with the version of some programs used. More research needed...

When the LatexModePlugin tries to parse a .tex file created from latex present in a topic, it fails when this contains tikz code:

From the command invoked to parse a .tex file containing tikz code:

! LaTeX Error: File `tikz.sty' not found.

Either this library has somehow fallen out, or it was never there in the first place. Will come back to you on this smile
