TODAC - User's Guide - Run Information

Description

RunInfo looks up for VMEA files associated with specified run on CASTOR, stages them (if necessary), processes with cmsRun and populates TOTEM Offline Database with extracted events data.

In order to read and stage files on CASTOR you need to have CASTOR2 properly configured. Instructions for this may be found here: CompCastor. Also you need to be granted proper access permissions for the following directory on CASTOR:

/castor/cern.ch/totem/LHCRawData

In order to process VMEA files you need to have cmsRun installed and configured. To do that, follow the instructions presented here: SoftwareHowto.

Due to CERN security restrictions, populating TOTEM Offline Database with run information is not available in Web application. You may only insert run information into database via TODAC CLI application.
