TOTEM TWiki registration

The TWiki system allows you to easily create web pages and edit them through a web interface, using implicit linking by page name and a simplified formatting markup. By default the pages are open for reading, unless the authors decided to make them visible to TOTEM only. If you wish to access the protected pages also, or contribute by editing some of them or adding more, then you should become a member of TotemGroup by following this procedure:

  • register to the CERN TWiki system: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration, with:
    • First Name and Last Name as in the xwho database;
    • WikiName = FirstName+LastName without separating dots, for example FernandoLucasRodriguez or JanKaspar;
    • Login name = the same as NICE/AFS login;
    • e-mail address, etc;

  • the system will confirm your registration by sending an e-mail message with a password to the address you have specified;

  • at this point any registered user can add your WikiName to TotemGroup. This page can be edited by any member of TotemGroup. If you do not recognize anybody in the list to whom you could ask to add your name, e-mail your request to big.brother;

  • when this is done, you will be able to edit the TOTEM Twiki, and also wiew the pages available only to TOTEM registered users.

Peter L. Jones helped with the setting up of the system, Anssi Vaelikangas customized the layout and graphics, and Leszek Grzanska defined the access rights scheme.
