GMOD Report for week 20060904 - 20060910 ======================================== EGEE BROADCASTS SENT: ===================== - Since last Monday 4th of Sept, at 12h, there is a more fine grained queue structure for Grid jobs at CERN. ---------------------------------------------------------- - Next week, Castor-2 instance that is used for dteam and ops vo transfers will not be available. Starting on Monday Sept 11th, the instance will be converted to a public setup, with a dedicated diskpool for dteam/ops vo transfers. This migration should be finished by Friday, Sept 15th. There will be NO access to CERN CASTOR-2 resources for dteam and ops vo users via SRM during the period. Gridftp-only access via castorgrid.cern.ch will be available. ----------------------------------------------------------- - There is a new version of the FCR portal (Freedom of Choice for ResourceS) available at: https://lcg-fcr.cern.ch:8443/fcr/fcr.cgi with the exclude LDIF file at: http://lcg-fcr.cern.ch:8083/fcr-data/exclude.ldif FCR is a VO policy enforcement tool through which VO responsibles are authorized to modify each VO settings. The improvements are: - integration with SAM - User Pages & Help - Critical Test selection for all services for a VO (this will affect the SAM resutls and the Service Availiblity metrics for the VO) - selection for Core Service nodes (this will be used in the metrics calcualtion later in future) - CE/SE selection also based on Scheduled Downtime Registering as a VO responsible: the requestor has to send a mail to with: * his/her certificate DN * the VO name(s) he is responsible for * the role(s) he has for the VO The old FCR pages will be available for one more month (1st October, 2006). ---------------------------------------------------------------- - One of our gLite production CEs at CERN, CE103, had problems and was reinstalled on Sept. 6th. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ACTIONS ON GMOD: ================ - Include from now on mod@cern.NO_SPAM.ch in the EGEE Broadcasts.
