LHCb February CCRC08 Plans

Update - 15th February 2008

The stripping phase and the distribution of DST data to all T1 centres will not occur during the last 2 weeks February. If progress permits we would like to extend the challenge by a week to test this aspect.

The resource share has been updated taking into account the latest information provided by the sites. The percentages for processing and RAW data storage is given in Table 1.

The current plan for the week starting Monday 18th February is to ramp up to half the data transfer rates, as presented at the February CCRC F2F meeting. (For Monday we will transfer date for 2 hours at full rate but then monitor closely the subsequent reconstruction job.)  LHCb would then establish stable operation procedure for a minimum of a 24 hour period. The ramp up will then continue until the full rate is achieved early in the week commencing 25th February.  LHCb will mimic the LHC beam time efficiency by running data transfers for 6 hours followed by a 6 hour break.
